Celebrity Apex Food and Dining: Every Venue Explained

Celebrity Apex dining is built around four included main restaurants, four casual included options, two cabin-category restaurants, and seven specialty concepts.

Use those distinctions first, then reserve the premium dinner whose format or cuisine earns time that the strong included program cannot replace.

Short version: Rotate Apex’s four included main restaurants when availability allows, use Eden Café for a lighter bite and reserve a favorite specialty dinner; Blu and Luminae require eligible accommodation, while Raw on 5 follows an à la carte model.

Celebrity Apex dining, from included meals to specialties

Apex dining gives you four included main rooms, casual daytime food and specialty choices for a different evening. Learn the deck plan early so a meal near Eden or the Grand Plaza fits the rest of your night.

  • Cosmopolitan: complimentary main restaurant for New American dishes with global influences.
  • Normandie: complimentary main restaurant for a contemporary French identity and exclusive regional choices.
  • Cyprus: complimentary main restaurant centered on Mediterranean and Greek-inspired seafood and clean flavors.
  • Tuscan Restaurant: complimentary main restaurant for southern Italian ideas and house-made pasta, not the paid Tuscan Grille on older ships.
  • Oceanview Café: Deck 14 included marketplace buffet serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Mast Grill: Deck 14 included poolside burger and casual lunch counter.
  • Spa Café: Deck 14 included lighter breakfast and lunch food, with charges applying to fresh-pressed juices and smoothies.
  • Eden Café: daytime café within Eden for breakfast and lunch service, separate from the paid downstairs restaurant.

Eden Café and Eden Restaurant are different products

Eden Café is the daytime counter with breakfast and lunch bites in the bright upper part of the space, while Eden Restaurant is the paid dinner experience with an open kitchen and an optional tasting format. Sharing the Eden name does not make the café a free preview of every dinner dish or make the restaurant an included extension of the café.

Use the café when its posted daytime hours fit the schedule, then reserve the restaurant only if the theatrical setting and creative menu are the point. Eden Café food is included, while specialty drinks and any separately priced items follow the posted menu.

What to expect from Eden Restaurant

Celebrity describes an imaginative dinner with more appetizers, entrées, desserts, and plant-based or tasting choices shown on current menus. Order from the menu’s distinctive vegetable, seafood, or composed dishes rather than pay for the experience and choose the closest version of an ordinary grill meal.

For Eden, choose the seafood or vegetable courses that appeal most on your sailing’s menu rather than paying for a creative dinner and ordering only a familiar grill dish. The current Cruise Planner and onboard menu control the available menu, cover, tasting option, and dietary accommodations.

The four main restaurants are included, and Tuscan is not Tuscan Grille

Cosmopolitan, Normandie, Cyprus, and Tuscan Restaurant share a rotating core menu but add venue-specific dishes and very different rooms. Compare those exclusives, reserve a preferred time when needed, and use location or atmosphere as the tiebreaker instead of treating four names as four unrelated paid restaurants.

Choose complimentary Tuscan Restaurant for an Italian-leaning main-dining evening, or Fine Cut when you want a paid steakhouse meal. They offer different food and atmosphere, so the useful choice is tonight’s craving rather than how impressive the name sounds.

For Fine Cut, choose a steak when beef is the craving, or compare the lamb chops or lobster tail when someone in the group wants something else. At Raw on 5, a lobster roll and a few sushi pieces make more sense for a light meal than ordering a seafood tower by reflex.

How to rotate the main rooms

Begin with Cyprus if Mediterranean seafood appeals, use Tuscan for pasta, choose Normandie for a French-leaning evening, and keep Cosmopolitan for broadly familiar New American choices. The live menu matters more than rigid rankings because every room also serves the common changing program.

Breakfast or lunch availability can be narrower than dinner and may concentrate in one main room. Check the app each day instead of promising all four rooms at every meal period.

Oceanview, Mast Grill, and Spa Café keep daytime flexible

Oceanview Café is the broad buffet for three meals, Mast Grill is the poolside burger counter, and Spa Café is the lighter breakfast and lunch venue. These three included formats serve different schedules, while specialty coffee, fresh juice, smoothies, and bar drinks remain separate purchases or package benefits.

Walk the full Oceanview marketplace before filling a plate, especially when made-to-order and regional food is spread across stations. Mast Grill earns its place through proximity, and Spa Café through a smaller menu, not because either duplicates the buffet.

Choose Apex specialty dining by the meal you want

Start with Eden for a creative dinner, Fine Cut for steak, or Raw on 5 for sushi and seafood ordered à la carte. The specialty choices also include Le Grand Bistro, Le Petit Chef, Rooftop Garden Grill and the Magic Carpet’s scheduled dining formats.

  • Fine Cut Steakhouse, Deck 5: reservation dinner for premium cuts, seafood, and a formal steakhouse setting.
  • Raw on 5, Deck 5: à la carte seafood, oysters, crab, lobster, sushi, and sashimi.
  • Magic Carpet on Deck 5: an open-air extension of Raw on 5 with a smaller seafood and sushi menu when the platform is positioned there.
  • Le Grand Bistro, Deck 4: French bistro service, distinct from the timed Le Petit Chef production hosted in the same room.
  • Le Petit Chef, Deck 4: synchronized tabletop animation paired with a structured dinner.
  • Eden Restaurant, Deck 4 within the multi-level Eden complex: creative à la carte and tasting dinner formats.
  • Rooftop Garden Grill, Deck 15: open-air lunch or dinner built around gourmet backyard grilling and barbecue flavors.

Raw on 5 makes a smaller seafood meal possible

Raw on 5 is the complete à la carte seafood restaurant, while the Magic Carpet becomes its casual outdoor extension only when positioned on Deck 5. A bar visit, a Raw on 5 reservation, the Deck 5 Magic Carpet menu, and a ticketed Dinner on the Edge event are not one guaranteed product.

Celebrity’s July 2025 Apex menu identifies Apex-exclusive creations from chef Yoshikazu Okada, including the Apex Roll, but a representative menu remains subject to change. Use it to understand the restaurant’s identity, then check the live item prices before ordering towers, premium seafood, or fresh wasabi.

Fine Cut, Rooftop Garden Grill, and Le Grand Bistro

Fine Cut is the actual paid steakhouse, Rooftop Garden Grill is the open-air grill and barbecue dinner, and Le Grand Bistro is the French bistro. Choose by environment as much as food because wind and weather can affect the rooftop meal, while a bistro and formal steakhouse set very different evening tempos.

Le Petit Chef uses the bistro room for a synchronized show and should be booked as an entertainment event. The ordinary Le Grand Bistro menu, the animated dinner, and an à la carte lunch are not interchangeable merely because the address is shared.

Indoor pool and loungers in the Celebrity Apex Solarium

Spa Café, Blu, and the Solarium are related but not interchangeable

Spa Café is an included food venue near the Solarium, but fresh-pressed juice and smoothies can cost extra. The Solarium itself is a pool and relaxation space, while Blu is a separate exclusive restaurant for AquaClass guests.

Use the café during a spa or pool day and judge the beverage charge separately. A spa appointment or thermal-suite benefit does not create Blu access, and Blu access does not make every wellness drink complimentary.

Blu and Luminae are cabin-category benefits

Blu is included for AquaClass guests, and Luminae is included for guests of The Retreat. A specialty-dining package does not create access to either room for a standard cabin, though Celebrity’s Retreat FAQ allows eligible Retreat guests to invite friends or family to Luminae for an additional fee when space is available.

Eligible guests should try their private restaurant early before buying a string of specialty meals. Blu’s lighter approach and Luminae’s daily-changing menu may already supply the quieter service and distinct food the booking was meant to secure.

Dining packages, à la carte credits, and room service

Celebrity’s current dining-package terms say packages are per person, nontransferable, subject to availability, and charged a 20% gratuity at purchase. Advance packages should be booked at least two days before boarding for the precruise savings, and dining times still require availability.

At à la carte specialty restaurants such as Raw on 5 and Le Grand Bistro, Celebrity currently assigns a $50 food credit for dinner and a $35 credit for lunch to guests using a dining package. Beverages, supplements, wine pairings, gratuities, and food beyond the credit are excluded, and unused credit cannot be redeemed for cash.

Compare the package price and gratuity with the exact Apex meals already wanted. A package is not unlimited Raw on 5 ordering and does not make the Magic Carpet, Eden tasting menu, or every supplement automatically included.

Room service is delivery to the cabin

Celebrity’s current FAQ lists 24-hour room service with a $9.95 fee per order plus 20% gratuity. Continental breakfast is complimentary from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. except on disembarkation day, while 24-hour service is complimentary for The Retreat and Zenith members under current terms.

Use the live cabin menu for item availability and confirm the fee waiver before ordering. Room service is not a fifth main restaurant, and its delivery charge does not necessarily cover separately priced drinks or premium items.

Café al Bacio, Il Secondo Bacio, Craft Social, and Eden Bar

Café al Bacio and Il Secondo Bacio sell specialty coffee and drinks, Craft Social is a bar with charged small plates, and Eden Bar sells cocktails. They matter to food planning, but none should be counted as an included full-service restaurant or silently folded into a dining package.

Confirm beverage-package coverage and food prices before ordering. A cocktail benefit does not automatically pay for mac and cheese, sliders, sushi, or another bar snack.

Reservation order and a realistic week

Reserve Le Petit Chef first when the timed animation matters, Eden next when a tasting dinner is the priority, and then Fine Cut or Rooftop Garden Grill according to cuisine and weather tolerance. Raw on 5 and Le Grand Bistro offer more à la carte control, but preferred dinner times can still disappear.

  • Embarkation: Start with Oceanview Café or another included venue and map the Grand Plaza before buying lunch.
  • First dinner: Use one complimentary main room and learn the common menu plus its exclusives.
  • Second dinner: Choose another main-room identity rather than assuming repetition.
  • Sea day: Use Eden Café or Spa Café earlier, then protect the least-flexible premium dinner.
  • Pool day: Use Mast Grill close to the activity and save the rooftop restaurant for deliberate dining.
  • Port return: Keep Oceanview or an included main room as the schedule-safe meal.
  • Final night: Repeat the room that worked instead of spending a package credit only to clear it.

Dining mistakes to avoid

  • Calling complimentary Tuscan Restaurant the paid Tuscan Grille found on Solstice-series ships.
  • Treating Eden Café, Eden Restaurant, and Eden Bar as one venue with one price rule.
  • Calling the Magic Carpet a permanent Deck 5 restaurant regardless of position and programming.
  • Using a dining package as proof of access to Blu or Luminae.
  • Treating the $50 dinner credit or $35 lunch credit as unlimited à la carte food.
  • Quoting a past Raw on 5 item or specialty cover as a guarantee for the sailing.

Dietary needs and family pacing

Guests with serious allergies or medical dietary needs should notify Celebrity before sailing and speak with the onboard dining team. The complimentary main rooms provide the most repeatable planning base, while raw seafood, a buffet, a projection show, and tasting menus each create different preparation questions.

Families should choose format as carefully as cuisine. Mast Grill, the buffet, a main room, and Le Petit Chef ask for different time and attention, and an expensive reservation is not automatically a good family meal.

Continue planning with the deck guide, cruise tips, best cabins, things to do, pros and cons, cabins to avoid.

How this guide was researched: Dining recommendations use the ship’s restaurant lineup, published menus and booking terms; your sailing’s menu and reservation total settle changing dishes, hours and prices.

My Celebrity Apex dining verdict

Apex’s four complimentary main rooms are the heart of the week, not a prelude to specialty dining. Add Eden, Raw on 5, Fine Cut, or Le Petit Chef only when its exact food or format earns the reservation, then keep daytime meals flexible through Oceanview, Mast Grill, Spa Café, and Eden Café.

The live Cruise Planner, onboard menus, and Magic Carpet position should settle prices and availability. Choose the meal you want, then leave another evening open for whichever included dining room becomes your favorite.

A slower breakfast before a port day

For an early excursion, use the complimentary continental breakfast window or a quick café meal; a full room-service breakfast is most appealing when a slower morning in the cabin is worth the delivery charge. Check the final order total before confirming extras.
