Celebrity Ascent Restaurants: What’s Included and Worth Booking
Celebrity Ascent has four included main restaurants, four included casual venues, access-controlled dining and a broad specialty lineup.
Use the main rooms and Oceanview Café as the base, reserve only the paid experiences that feel genuinely different, and keep every current price tied to the Cruise Planner or onboard menu.
Short version: Rotate Ascent’s four included main restaurants when availability allows, use Eden Café for a lighter bite and reserve a favorite specialty dinner; Blu and Luminae require eligible accommodation, while Raw on 5 follows an à la carte model.
At eligible à la carte restaurants such as Raw on 5, Celebrity’s dining-package rules provide a $50 dinner food credit or $35 lunch credit per person; excess food, supplements, wine pairings and beverages can cost extra. Match a package to the meals and times you want before paying for more dinners.
The $9.95 room-service fee plus 20% gratuity totals $11.94 per order before separately charged items; a shared order can be more efficient than separate calls. Complimentary continental breakfast runs from 6 to 11 a.m. except disembarkation day, while Retreat and Zenith guests have the fee waived under current policy.
Celebrity Ascent dining at a glance
- Included main dining: Cosmopolitan, Cyprus, Normandie and Tuscan share a core menu while adding venue-specific dishes.
- Included casual dining: Oceanview Café, Eden Café, Mast Grill and Spa Café serve different locations and meal periods.
- Restricted dining: Blu is the restaurant for AquaClass guests, while Luminae serves guests of The Retreat.
- Specialty dining: Le Voyage, Eden Restaurant, Fine Cut, Raw on 5, Le Grand Bistro, Le Petit Chef and Rooftop Garden Grill require separate payment or an eligible package.
- Service, not a venue: room service has its own hours and order fee, so it should not be counted as another restaurant.

The four included main restaurants
Build your week around Ascent dining, with four included main restaurants and easy daytime alternatives. Your main dining assignment gives you a starting point; request another room when space is available and its menu or atmosphere appeals more.
Celebrity Select Dining currently offers early seating at 6 p.m., late seating at 8:30 p.m. or a flexible-time option. Choose a preferred time first, then rotate rooms for atmosphere and signature dishes rather than expecting four entirely separate menus.
Cosmopolitan and Cyprus
Cosmopolitan frames the shared program through globally influenced new American cooking. Cyprus emphasizes Mediterranean flavors and seafood, which makes it the best first request when those venue-specific choices appeal.
Both remain included main dining rather than specialty restaurants. Representative dishes and the shared menu can change, so the app’s actual dinner menu should decide whether to switch rooms that night.
Normandie and Tuscan
Normandie adds contemporary French-influenced selections, while Tuscan adds Italian-inspired choices. Their names echo Murano and Tuscan Grille elsewhere in the fleet, but neither is the paid restaurant from another Celebrity ship.
That means you can enjoy either restaurant without buying a specialty dinner. Request Normandie for French-leaning choices and Tuscan for Italian ones while treating both as part of the included rotation.
Reservations and meal periods
The four rooms primarily organize dinner, although breakfast or lunch service may appear in a selected venue on the daily schedule. A room that serves one daytime meal should not be advertised as open for every meal on every day.
Reserve through Celebrity’s app or Cruise Planner when the sailing opens, then confirm the assigned restaurant onboard. Request a switch early and keep your assigned room as a reliable fallback if the other restaurant is full.

Included casual food and access-controlled restaurants
For included casual food, use Oceanview for variety, Mast Grill for a poolside burger, Eden Café for a lighter bite and Spa Café for a small meal near the Solarium. Their hours differ, so check the program before crossing the ship for one particular counter.
Oceanview Café and Mast Grill
Oceanview Café is the marketplace-style buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with stations and a rotating international program. It is the most dependable flexible meal, but individual stations and late service follow the day’s posted hours.
Mast Grill is the pool-deck counter for burgers, sandwiches and casual food. Use it during pool time rather than cross the ship for it, and avoid assuming the grill remains open whenever the pool deck is accessible.
Eden Café and Spa Café
Eden Café is a distinct casual venue in the Eden complex, serving morning drinks plus sandwiches, soups and other breakfast or lunch bites with indoor and outdoor seating. Use it for a lighter daytime meal, then save the separate Eden Restaurant reservation for an unhurried specialty dinner.
Spa Café and Juice Bar sits by the adults-only Solarium and focuses on lighter breakfast and lunch food. The food selection can be included while smoothies, juices or other marked drinks cost extra, so a blanket “free café” label is too broad.
Blu and Luminae
Blu is the dedicated restaurant for AquaClass guests, and Luminae is the private restaurant for guests booked in The Retreat. These are cabin-category benefits, not specialty venues that any guest can reserve through a dining package.
Blu is an AquaClass benefit and Luminae serves eligible Retreat guests; ask the onboard team about any companion or suite-guest exception before planning a shared meal, because those restaurants cannot be unlocked with an ordinary specialty reservation.

Specialty restaurants and what each adds
Ascent’s specialty choices include Le Voyage, Eden Restaurant, Fine Cut, Rooftop Garden Grill, Raw on 5 and Le Petit Chef; pick by the evening you want rather than trying to visit every paid room, and use Cruise Planner for the actual sailing’s fare and availability.
For Fine Cut, choose a steak when beef is the craving, or compare the lamb chops or lobster tail when someone in the group wants something else. At Raw on 5, a lobster roll and a few sushi pieces make more sense for a light meal than ordering a seafood tower by reflex.
Le Voyage, Eden Restaurant and Fine Cut
Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud is the ship’s travel-inspired signature restaurant and the most distinctive first reservation for a formal specialty evening. Eden Restaurant builds a dinner experience around an open kitchen, creative presentation and the surrounding three-level venue.
Fine Cut Steakhouse is the familiar steakhouse choice for prime meats and seafood. Reserve Le Voyage or Eden first when uniqueness matters, then Fine Cut when the group specifically wants the steakhouse format.
Raw on 5 and the Magic Carpet
Raw on 5 is an à la carte seafood and sushi restaurant for lunch and dinner, with rolls, nigiri, sashimi and other seafood selections. The Magic Carpet can become an outdoor extension when positioned at Deck 5, but it is a movable platform and not a duplicate permanent restaurant.
Reservations for Magic Carpet dining depend on its scheduled configuration and weather; choose it for the over-water setting, then check the live menu and price before reserving instead of assuming a sister ship’s meal applies.
Le Grand Bistro, Le Petit Chef and Rooftop Garden Grill
Le Grand Bistro is the French bistro concept, while Le Petit Chef is a separate animated dinner experience staged in that space. Choose the bistro for a French meal or Le Petit Chef when the synchronized tabletop animation is part of the evening you want.
Rooftop Garden Grill provides an outdoor grill setting with lunch or dinner according to the schedule. Weather and itinerary can shape its value, so avoid placing it opposite a time-sensitive show until the daily program is known.
Mast Grill is a handy included lunch when the pool is where you want to spend the afternoon; order a burger and return to the deck rather than turning a quick bite into another reservation.

Room service, packages and reservation math
Celebrity’s current room-service FAQ lists 24-hour service with a $9.95 fee per order plus an automatic 20 percent gratuity. Continental breakfast is complimentary from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. except on disembarkation day, and the fee is waived for Retreat guests and Zenith Captain’s Club members.
Room service is a delivery benefit with a separate menu, not another dining room. Food ordered outside complimentary continental breakfast can have item charges in addition to the service rule, so confirm the cabin menu before ordering.
Dining packages cover eligible specialty meals under the terms sold for the sailing, but they do not unlock Blu or Luminae and do not turn à la carte menus into unlimited ordering. The amount shown in the Cruise Planner is the only safe current quote for a private voyage-specific offer.
For honest math, list the exact specialty dinners the party would buy without a package and compare those portal prices with the package cost. Preserve room for service charges, premium items, beverages and venues excluded by the displayed terms.
My reservation order
- First: reserve Le Voyage or Eden when its distinctive experience is the trip priority.
- Second: choose Fine Cut, Rooftop Garden Grill or Le Petit Chef for the group’s preferred format.
- Later: use Raw on 5 or Le Grand Bistro when an à la carte or casual paid meal fits the day.
- Keep flexible: rotate the four main rooms and use Oceanview, Eden Café, Spa Café and Mast Grill around activities.
- Restricted: plan Blu or Luminae only when the booked cabin category includes access.
Leave at least two dinners uncommitted on a seven-night itinerary. That creates space for the strongest main-room menu, a port delay or a specialty opening that appears after boarding.
Dietary needs and common planning errors
Report allergies or serious dietary restrictions to Celebrity before sailing and repeat them with the dining team onboard. The main restaurants offer the best continuity, while buffets, shared kitchens, raw seafood and delivery need a direct cross-contact discussion.
- Choose Tuscan for an included Italian-leaning dinner and Raw on 5 for a smaller sushi or seafood meal.
- Keep Eden Café for daytime bites and Eden Restaurant for a separate specialty dinner.
- Plan Blu or Luminae only when your accommodation or an explicitly approved guest arrangement gives you access.

How this guide was researched: Dining recommendations use the ship’s restaurant lineup, published menus and booking terms; your sailing’s menu and reservation total settle changing dishes, hours and prices.

The meals worth saving time for
Celebrity Ascent supports a complete included plan through its four main restaurants and four casual venues. Spend extra on Le Voyage, Eden, Fine Cut or another specialty concept only when its specific experience matters more than an included dinner.
Check the app for the final menu, reservation time and total before booking. A relaxed included dinner is a perfectly good choice when another specialty meal would crowd the evening.
