Norwegian Jade Dining: Included Food & Specialty Choices

Build your Norwegian Jade food plan around included dining, then reserve Teppanyaki, Cagney’s or Le Bistro when their cuisine is worth replacing an ordinary dinner.

Keep Jasmine Garden and Sushi in the paid column, and compare the actual cover, service charge and dining benefit before assuming any specialty meal is free.

Short version

Use Grand Pacific, Alizar, the buffet, grills and O’Sheehan’s for everyday meals. Reserve Teppanyaki for the cooktop experience or another specialty room for its dishes; ordinary covers range from $40 to $60 before the 20% charge, while Jasmine Garden and Sushi belong in the paid plan.

Start with Grand Pacific and Alizar for included dinner

Grand Pacific and Alizar are Jade’s two included main dining rooms on Deck 6. They give you table service and a rotating menu without buying a specialty restaurant cover.

Choose Grand Pacific when you want the larger aft dining room and a meal you can settle into. Choose Alizar when its more central location or available table better fits the evening.

Choose the main room whose location and available table fit the evening, with the live menu helping settle the food choice. An included entrée you are looking forward to is a better dinner than a specialty reservation made only to use a benefit.

Grand Pacific also advertises breakfast and lunch, but actual meal periods follow the daily program. Use it for a table-service breakfast when its opening time leaves enough room for your excursion departure.

For Grand Pacific, use the aft elevator-and-stair bank and descend to the entrance. You can’t rely on walking through Alizar and the working spaces behind it to reach the stern dining room.

Our Jade dining routes help with that first dinner walk. Learn the entrance before a fixed performance so the route doesn’t eat into the meal.

Use Garden Café and The Great Outdoors for different kinds of lunch

Garden Café on Deck 12 is the included buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is useful when your group wants different foods or needs a quick meal between activities.

Agree on a table location before splitting up for food. Finding one another with full plates is avoidable, particularly when the buffet’s aft footprint has several serving and seating areas.

The Great Outdoors is the stern outdoor buffet companion on the same deck. Choose it when the weather suits an open-air meal, then check which food counters are actually operating.

Use the indoor buffet for the broader meal selection and the outdoor area when grilled favorites and the sea view suit the moment. An available table doesn’t establish that every nearby station is serving through the afternoon.

After a late shore return, keep O’Sheehan’s as the straightforward included fallback when the buffet counters are between meals. That saves an unnecessary trip upstairs and leaves the evening open for the dinner you actually want.

Keep O’Sheehan’s for late food and familiar pub choices

O’Sheehan’s Neighborhood Bar & Grill is Jade’s included 24-hour food option on Deck 8 around the upper Atrium. It is the useful fallback when your meal time doesn’t match the buffet or main rooms.

Look for the Reuben sandwich or fish and chips when those comfort-food choices are on the live menu. They give you a concrete reason to use the pub instead of buying a late specialty meal you hadn’t planned.

Food inclusion doesn’t make the beers, cocktails or specialty beverages complimentary. Check your applicable drink benefit before ordering, especially if you have a fare without the beverage package.

Choose the pub for the timing and food, rather than expecting the quieter atmosphere of a long restaurant dinner. It is a shared bar-and-grill space overlooking an active part of the ship.

If your room is far aft or forward, use the bank serving the Atrium. Jasmine Garden, Sushi and Teppanyaki are one deck below on 7, so don’t confuse their entrances with the included pub upstairs.

Use the grills when you want a quick outdoor meal

Topsiders Bar & Grill on Deck 12 and The Pit Stop on Deck 13 are separate included grill choices. They can be convenient when a burger or hot dog fits better than a full buffet visit.

The Pit Stop’s advertised options also include ribs and chicken. Check the actual serving time and selection before heading up, because outdoor counters don’t share O’Sheehan’s round-the-clock schedule.

Choose the counter nearest the part of the deck you plan to use. Carrying food across several levels isn’t necessary when another included option fits your route.

The Great Outdoors is a separate outdoor buffet-and-bar area at the stern, not another name for either pool grill. Keeping those locations straight gives you useful alternatives when one counter is closed or busy.

Compare current specialty covers before assigning your credits

Jade’s seven specialty restaurants currently charge for dinner. When you pay directly, a 20% gratuity and service charge is added at checkout, with pricing and menus subject to change.

The current general cover schedule is $60 for Cagney’s, Le Bistro and Teppanyaki; $50 for Moderno, Jasmine Garden and Sushi; and $40 for La Cucina.

For an ordinary paid booking, $60 plus a 20% charge comes to $72 before any additional applicable taxes or separately charged purchases. A $50 cover becomes $60 and a $40 cover becomes $48 on the same basis.

Compare those examples with the complete reservation total before paying. Keep drinks, premium items and the dining benefit separate so a $60 cover does not become a mistaken $60 budget for the whole evening.

Read the Free at Sea terms alongside your confirmation. The current offer lists one meal on 2–4 nights, two on 5–6 nights, three on 7–8 nights and four on 9 or more nights for eligible purchases.

A dining benefit doesn’t make every additional dinner unlimited or secure a restaurant time. Count the meals attached to each eligible guest and compare the package-related charges with the meals you’d otherwise pay for.

If your reservation retains More at Sea or another earlier offer, use those actual confirmed terms. Another guest’s booking date and benefits can be different from yours even on the same ship.

Reserve Teppanyaki first if the shared-table experience matters

Teppanyaki on Deck 7 is the live cooktop meal, with shrimp, steak, chicken and fried rice among the advertised choices. Choose it when watching the chef and sharing the table are part of the evening you want.

Reserve your preferred seating before the more flexible restaurants if this is a priority. The fixed cooktop format has specific places and times, which makes an exact dinner slot more important than at an ordinary table-service room.

Leave enough time around a show or a port return. A performance-style dinner works best when you can enjoy the sequence rather than treating it as a quick bite between appointments.

If the group mainly wants sushi or a quieter table, compare the separate Sushi or Jasmine Garden options. Similar geography doesn’t make the three Asian restaurants the same meal.

Choose Cagney’s for a steakhouse evening

Cagney’s on Deck 13 is the premium Black Angus steak-and-seafood choice. Use it when a steakhouse meal is one of the dinners you’re excited about, rather than because its cover is among the highest.

Compare the live cuts, seafood and sides before choosing the reservation. A favorite entrée that costs less elsewhere can be a better use of a limited benefit than a high cover for food you don’t particularly want.

Its higher dining location is separate from Le Bistro on Deck 6. Choose the bank serving the Deck 13 restaurant neighborhood, and allow time to change ends if you’re coming from the forward theater.

If you already expect a substantial lunch ashore, consider moving this dinner to another day. An upgrade earns its place when you’re hungry and have time to enjoy it.

Choose Le Bistro for French dishes and a different pace

Le Bistro is on Deck 6 near the bar cluster and casino area. Look for the advertised escargot or coq au vin when you want a French meal rather than another steakhouse evening.

Choose a reservation with enough time for several courses. Its menu is a reason to slow down for dinner, especially if the rest of the day has been spent eating on the move.

For a couple comparing two specialty meals, let the preferred dishes decide between Le Bistro and Cagney’s. Both currently start at the same $60 cover, so selecting one doesn’t automatically improve package value.

Compare La Cucina with Moderno by how you want to eat

La Cucina is Jade’s Italian specialty room on Deck 12, toward the aft dining area. The advertised examples include osso buco, spaghetti carbonara and affogato.

Choose it when an Italian entrée and a conventional table-service dinner suit the group. The $40 cover is currently lower than the other specialty tiers, which is useful when paying directly rather than simply spending a credit.

Moderno Churrascaria is on Deck 13 and uses a different format: a salad bar followed by slow-roasted meats carved tableside. Choose it when that sequence sounds appealing and the group wants a meat-focused evening.

Start with a modest salad plate if you’re planning to enjoy the carved selections. Arriving after a large lunch can make this particular format less useful, even when the advertised benefit covers a meal.

Dietary planning deserves an advance conversation about shared counters and the carved-meat service. Neither a salad bar nor a churrascaria automatically supplies the allergy-safe meal your party needs.

Keep Jasmine Garden and Sushi in the paid plan

Jasmine Garden on Deck 7 is currently a paid Asian-fusion restaurant, with noodles, wok-cooked dishes and soups among the advertised options. Use it when those dishes fit the group better than the communal cooktop experience.

Sushi is a separate paid counter-style choice on the same deck. Its category has a $50 cover, so don’t calculate the meal as an inexpensive à la carte snack based on an older guide.

Choose Sushi for the meal itself rather than expecting an inexpensive à la carte snack from older advice. Use a limited dining benefit where it replaces something you wanted to buy, then keep the other evenings available for included meals.

Sake Bar belongs to the nearby Asian dining area, but beverages need their own inclusion check. A restaurant credit and a beverage package answer different questions on the bill.

Treat cabin delivery and suite meals as separate benefits

Ordinary room service has its own charge structure, rather than becoming included because other ship dining is complimentary. The current room service rules list a $4.95 breakfast fee and an order convenience charge of up to $9.95, with paid beverages and special items extra.

Check the live cabin menu for the actual order total and availability. A charge per order can make sharing one breakfast delivery more sensible than several separate requests, but it still needs comparison with an included meal outside the cabin.

Qualifying Haven and full-suite guests are exempt from the room-service fee under those rules. Club Balcony naming alone doesn’t provide that full-suite exemption.

The suite dining benefits also list daily specialty-restaurant breakfast and lunch for qualifying categories. Confirm Jade’s assigned host restaurant and hours with the concierge; this isn’t a public free dinner reservation or a separate dedicated Haven restaurant.

Match the reservation to the people and the port day

For children 12 and under, the current offer distinguishes complimentary kids’ menu choices from ordering off the specialty menu. Check the actual package or cover charges for each child before deciding that everyone shares the adults’ benefit.

Report allergies and medical dietary needs when booking, then confirm the plan with the onboard dining team. Shared buffet stations, sushi counters and teppanyaki tables need specific cross-contact questions rather than assumptions based on a dish label.

Protect the restaurant you most want, then keep several evenings available for Grand Pacific, Alizar or a flexible pub meal. A late shore return doesn’t need to turn into a rushed specialty appointment.

Our Jade evening choices help you pair dinner with an actual show or live set. Our Jade meal tips cover the quieter timing choices that don’t require another cover charge.

How this guide was researched

Dining locations, included meals, representative dishes, cover tiers and dining allowances were compared with room-service and suite benefits. The reservation total and onboard menu settle extra items, taxes, final availability and the assigned suite breakfast or lunch room.
