Where to Eat on Queen Anne: Complete Dining Guide

Queen Anne’s dining plan starts with the restaurant included with your stateroom, then adds Artisans’ Foodhall, pub lunches, lighter café meals and four paid specialty choices.

Choose Aji Wa for a Japanese tasting meal, Aranya for Indian flavors, Tramonto for a Mediterranean evening or Sir Samuel’s when steak and seafood are the occasion.

Short version:

  • Use your assigned restaurant for the included dinners, Pavilion Wellness Café for a lighter breakfast or lunch and Golden Lion for pub food; choose one specialty meal around the cuisine you want most.
  • For a concrete paid-meal comparison, Aji Wa’s published summer omakase is US$70 per person including 18% service, while Tramonto has a separate cover plus marked supplements; those formats need different budgets.
  • Make time for included afternoon tea and the Gala dinner menu before filling every evening with premium reservations.

Queen Anne dining at a glance

  • Stateroom restaurants: Britannia, Britannia Club, Princess Grill and Queens Grill serve only their corresponding accommodation categories.
  • Included flexible food: Artisans’ Foodhall, Pavilion Wellness Café breakfast and lunch, selected Golden Lion food and afternoon tea broaden the plan.
  • Specialty: Aji Wa, Aranya, Tramonto and Sir Samuel’s Steakhouse & Grill carry extra charges.
  • Meal timing: afternoon tea has a scheduled service, and Tramonto opens for dinner.
  • Room service: Britannia breakfast is complimentary until 10 a.m.; Club and Grills retain an included menu around the clock.

Your stateroom determines the main restaurant

Your stateroom category comes with a dedicated restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Britannia, Britannia Club, Princess Grill, and Queens Grill are accommodation benefits, so an alternative-dining reservation does not unlock a different tier.

Britannia Restaurant

Britannia Restaurant is the large two-level main room on Decks 2 and 3 for most Britannia stateroom guests. The current program offers early, late or open dining choices within the times assigned for the voyage.

Choose the dinner arrangement that leaves enough time for the shows you want to see. Britannia also offers open dining, so compare that option before paying for Club solely to avoid a fixed sitting.

Britannia Club Restaurant

Britannia Club Restaurant is the dedicated main restaurant for guests booked in Britannia Club staterooms. It offers more flexible evening arrival than fixed Britannia seating, but it is not open to an ordinary Britannia booking as a paid upgrade.

Club works best when you want to return to the same reserved table with flexible arrival during dinner hours. If your group books different accommodation tiers, plan shared meals in venues everyone can use.

Princess Grill and Queens Grill

Princess Grill serves Princess Grill Suite guests, while Queens Grill serves Queens Grill Suite guests in the Grills area. Both offer breakfast, lunch and dinner and flexible dinner arrival, but neither is an ordinary public specialty restaurant.

Cunard’s published fare inclusions list full restaurant-menu dining by your butler for Queens Grill; Princess Grill guests should ask their suite team which menus are available for delivery. If a quiet meal on your own balcony is part of the appeal, ask about the serving hours and arrangements after boarding.

Queen Anne aboard Casual Dining

Included casual dining and afternoon tea

Artisans’ Foodhall

Artisans’ Foodhall is the included buffet on Deck 9, with changing counters and selected complimentary drinks. It is the easiest fallback when a tour return or a relaxed morning makes a sit-down meal inconvenient.

Walk through Artisans before choosing a plate, then use a freshly cooked counter or a roast-and-vegetable meal when that appeals; on embarkation and port-return days, its flexible format can fit the schedule better than a long restaurant lunch.

Pavilion Wellness Café and Pavilion Grill

The Pavilion Wellness Café is on Deck 10 overlooking the Pavilion Pool on Deck 9. Breakfast and lunch food are included, while its juice, smoothie, and kombucha menu is chargeable.

For a lighter lunch, try charred cauliflower with cashew cream and hazelnut dukkha when offered, or Greek yogurt and seasonal fruit at breakfast; the separate Pavilion Grill on Deck 9 is the better comparison for a casual poolside bite.

Golden Lion, Carinthia Lounge and afternoon tea

Golden Lion on Deck 2 serves included pub favorites, with supplements for selected dishes and charges for drinks. Carinthia Lounge on Deck 3 offers light bites and drinks with its own prices, so check the menu before ordering.

Traditional afternoon tea is an included scheduled service in the Queens Room; arrive early when the full tea service is a priority.

Aji Wa, Aranya, Tramonto and Sir Samuel’s

The included restaurants can cover the whole voyage; add one specialty meal for a menu or setting you particularly want and use My Cunard for its exact cover before counting drinks or marked premium dishes.

Aji Wa

Aji Wa suits a group that wants a Japanese chef-led meal rather than simply a quick sushi order; its seasonal menu changes, so reserve the tasting format when everyone is happy to let the kitchen guide the sequence.

The official summer Aji Wa menu lists omakase at US$70 per person including 18% service, with sashimi, karaage or broccoli tempura, a choice such as cedar-planked sea bass, and hojicha dessert; two people budget US$140 for that sample meal before optional drinks or pairings.

Aranya and Tramonto

Choose Aranya for Indian regional flavors or Tramonto for an evening Mediterranean meal; both are separate paid restaurants by the Deck 9 Artisans area, with their own service and reservation rather than a premium buffet station.

At Tramonto, build dinner around mozzarella with broad-bean pesto, chermoula hake or the day’s fresh pasta, leaving room for dark-chocolate-and-sherry dessert; the official Tramonto sample menu marks scallops at a US$8.50 supplement plus 18%, or US$10.03, and an additional entrée at US$7.50 plus 18%, or US$8.85, above the quoted cover.

Sir Samuel’s Steakhouse & Grill

Choose Sir Samuel’s for a deliberate steakhouse occasion, with a steak cut you actually want, a seafood platter to share or Dover sole prepared tableside; an ordinary main-restaurant dinner already provides formal service, so the distinctive menu is the reason to spend.

For a seafood-focused group, Sir Samuel’s fruit de mer and sole offer a different meal from its steaks; use the quoted cover and premium-item list to build that dinner budget rather than treating every cut or platter as automatically covered.

Reservations, room service and practical pricing

Reserve Sir Samuel’s, Aji Wa, Tramonto, or Aranya in My Cunard or onboard. A $15 per-person fee may apply to a missed reservation or cancellation within 24 hours, so check the terms before choosing the time.

Compare the full meal you intend to order: reservation cover, marked extras, drinks and the stated service charge; a US$70 all-in tasting menu and a lower cover with several supplements can produce similar bills even when the headline prices look different.

Britannia room-service breakfast is complimentary until 10 a.m.; later orders can carry charges. Britannia Club and Grills retain an included 24-hour menu, with Queens Grill also offering full restaurant-menu dining by its butler service.

A practical Queen Anne route

  • Embarkation: identify the stateroom restaurant and use Artisans if timing is uncertain.
  • Sea day: compare Pavilion Wellness Café, Golden Lion and Queens Room afternoon tea.
  • Specialty night: reserve Aji Wa, Aranya, Tramonto or Sir Samuel’s by cuisine preference.
  • Gala evening: protect the main-room celebratory menu before replacing it with a paid booking.
  • Late or private meal: distinguish ordinary room service from the Grills in-suite menu.

Use Decks 2 and 3 for Britannia and lower-deck dining, Deck 9 for Artisans, Aranya, and Tramonto, and Deck 10 for the Wellness Café, Aji Wa, and Sir Samuel’s. Princess Grill and Queens Grill are also on Deck 10, reserved for their qualifying suite guests.

On a short voyage, one specialty evening provides contrast without covering several included dinners; on a longer trip, alternate a Japanese or Indian meal with Gala menus, Golden Lion lunches and flexible Artisans meals.

Solo guests who enjoy a shared table may prefer the main restaurant for company, while couples can choose a smaller specialty setting for a particular celebration; families often gain more daily flexibility from Artisans and Pavilion Grill than from extra reservations.

Price wine, cocktails, specialty coffee and Wellness Café smoothies separately from food; an included café lunch does not make its drinks free, and optional pairings can change the value of a tasting meal substantially.

Dietary needs and common errors

Cunard asks guests to report allergies or dietary needs three months before departure, or at booking when closer. Repeat the request onboard because the buffet, specialty rooms, lounges and room service have different preparation conditions.

  • Check your assigned main restaurant and dinner arrangement before reserving alternatives.
  • Read the room-service menu carefully if you are staying in Britannia.
  • Keep drinks and premium dishes separate from included food when comparing costs.
  • Book Tramonto for dinner and use the daily program for other opening hours.
  • Tell the restaurant about allergies before ordering, even if the request is already on your booking.

Choose the Queen Anne meals worth planning

Use the stateroom restaurant, Artisans and daytime venues as the daily base, then choose Aji Wa, Aranya, Tramonto or Sir Samuel’s for the specific cuisine or setting your party wants to enjoy.

For a Japanese tasting evening, the published US$70 summer omakase gives a concrete planning comparison, while Aranya, Tramonto and Sir Samuel’s need the exact voyage quote for their covers and extras; save the reservation terms before you leave.

How this guide was researched:

I checked Queen Anne’s official dining page and seasonal sample menus alongside Cunard’s reservation terms; meal formats, dishes, covers and operating times can vary with the voyage.
