Oceania Vista Deck Guide: Restaurants, Cabins & Easy Routes

On Oceania Vista, learn Decks 5, 6, 12 and 14 first, because they hold most of the dining, entertainment and everyday public spaces you’ll use.

Use the forward bank for shows, views and learning, and the aft bank for the upper restaurants, library and coffee stops.

Short version

Learn Deck 5 for shows and Jacques or Red Ginger, Deck 6 for the Grand Dining Room and evening bars, and Deck 12 for the main pool and casual food. Deck 14’s forward learning spaces and aft coffee-and-restaurant cluster are separate destinations, so head toward the correct end before going up.

Learn the main routes on your first afternoon

Begin at the Reception and restaurant area on Deck 5, then find Vista Lounge toward the bow. Knowing that route gives you a useful starting point for dinner reservations, questions at Reception and evening performances.

Next, locate the Grand Dining Room aft on Deck 6 and the pool and casual dining on Deck 12. Those two levels cover many ordinary meals without a specialty booking.

Finish with Deck 14, but explore both ends rather than stepping out of an elevator and assuming you’ve seen it. Horizons and enrichment venues are forward, while the Library, coffee area and upper specialty restaurants are aft.

Jacques and Red Ginger are on Deck 5, and the casino is on Deck 6. Those are useful anchors for learning the lower evening area before your first dinner.

Agree on a precise meeting place with your companion before separating. “Outside the Library” or “Reception on Deck 5” is easier to follow than “the lounge” on a ship with several lounges.

If stairs suit your mobility, try them for a short trip when elevators are busy. If you need an accessible route, check it with the ship’s team rather than assuming every apparent shortcut works for your equipment.

Deck 5: Reception, shows and two specialty restaurants

Vista Lounge is forward on Deck 5 and hosts performances and other scheduled programming. Check Currents before visiting so that a daytime talk or evening show fits around your meal and shore plans.

Reception, the Concierge area and boutiques are farther back along the public route. These are useful landmarks if you need help finding a restaurant or sorting a reservation question.

Jacques and Red Ginger are on Deck 5 beyond that lobby and shop area. Use Reception and the boutiques as your landmarks on the way to those restaurants.

If you’re coming from Vista Lounge, follow the same-level route back through the lobby area toward the restaurants. Ask the team for the most suitable route if you need to avoid stairs or a long corridor walk.

If you plan dinner and a performance on the same evening, confirm both times. Being on the same deck helps with the walk, but it doesn’t make a leisurely restaurant meal finish quickly.

Our Vista dining guide compares the menus and reservation rules. Decide which dinner you want before choosing the most convenient route to it.

Oceania Vista : Grand Dining Room

Deck 6: dinner, drinks and the casino

The Grand Dining Room is aft on Deck 6, with the Grand Lounge nearby. This is a useful area to learn for a seated meal and a pre-dinner or after-dinner stop.

Elsewhere on the level are Martinis, Founders Bar and the casino. Choose your meeting landmark carefully, because telling someone to find “the bar on 6” won’t narrow the choice very much.

Vista does have casino gaming, including slot machines and table games. Check its opening times onboard, because port restrictions and the day’s operation matter more than a generic all-evening expectation.

Martinis suits a conventional cocktail stop, while Founders Bar offers more elaborate drinks and preparation. Check the menu and charge before ordering if you’re working within an included wine-and-beer amenity or a separate bar budget.

Use the onboard venue guide to see the broad offering, then follow Currents for performances and opening times. A published venue doesn’t mean the same activity runs there at the same time every day.

If you’re looking at a Deck 7 cabin, compare its position against this public level. A bedroom over a public footprint deserves more inspection than one with another bedroom below, without assuming that the map alone proves a noise problem.

Oceania Vista : Guest Cabin

Decks 7 and 8: standard accommodation choices

Deck 7 contains several accommodation categories, including the French Veranda rooms. These have opening glass and a railing, without the walkout outdoor platform you may be expecting from the word veranda.

B5 7068 illustrates the French Veranda on Deck 7; B1 8068 on Deck 8 adds a walkout balcony and a cabin floor below. Choose between those two products before comparing the higher-priced categories.

Deck 8 is a useful starting point for a couple who wants a real veranda and a room away from an obvious public-deck footprint. The final number still needs checking for location, capacity and any special layout.

Larger suites at the bow or stern change the comparison. Their extra space and views may appeal, but an end-of-ship location deserves a separate conversation if you’re sensitive to movement.

Our Vista cabin cautions guide explains the distinction between a risk to inspect and a room to reject outright. Don’t label an entire deck noisy on the strength of one cabin report.

Deck 9: Concierge rooms and the Solo area

Deck 9 includes Concierge accommodation and the dedicated Solo Concierge rooms. The Solo rooms are aft, with numbers 9128, 9130, 9132 and 9141, 9143, 9145 on the current map.

The Concierge Lounge is forward on this level. If you’re choosing a Solo room for its lounge benefit, allow for the walk rather than assuming you’ll be next door.

Check the room’s location against where you’ll spend most of the day. A forward Concierge room and an aft Solo room can share a deck while producing different daily walking routines.

For a solo booking, compare the dedicated category with a standard double offered for single occupancy. Location, published size and the particular promotion all matter alongside the existence of a solo label.

Decks 10 and 11: compare Penthouse neighbors

Penthouse accommodation appears on these decks, with the Executive Lounge on Deck 11. The room’s broad category gives you more space and service, but it doesn’t identify what sits overhead.

Deck 12 has forward cabins, a central pool area and dining farther aft. That means a Deck 11 room can sit beneath accommodation or public activity depending on its exact position.

PH2 10036 has cabin levels above and below, while PH1 11034 is beneath the central public area on Deck 12. For a light sleeper, the lower room is the more conservative starting point; the grade and fare still differ.

The forward part of Deck 12 also contains accommodation, so some Deck 11 positions retain a residential ceiling. Choose the actual upstairs neighbor you want rather than rejecting every room on one floor.

Our Vista cabin choices guide helps decide whether Penthouse space is worth buying in the first place. Choose the category and the number together instead of assuming an upgrade solves both questions.

Oceania Vista : Pool Deck

Deck 12: pool, casual food and forward suites

The main pool is central on Deck 12, with Waves Bar close by. It is the main everyday outdoor leisure level, so learn where the indoor exits are before settling into a long afternoon outside.

Aquamar Kitchen and Waves Grill are farther aft, followed by Terrace Cafe toward the stern. These give you several lunch options without going down to the Grand Dining Room.

Check the service window before returning from a late shore excursion. Aquamar’s breakfast-and-lunch role, Waves’ lunch grill and evening pizzeria, and Terrace’s meal periods don’t add up to every venue being open all day.

Forward Deck 12 also has premium accommodation, so it isn’t exclusively a pool deck. If you’re considering one of those suites, compare the footprint above with Deck 14 rather than searching for a nonexistent Deck 13.

For a casual meal after swimming, cover up and check the restaurant’s dress expectations. Proximity to the pool doesn’t turn every dining area into a place to eat in swimwear.

Deck 14 forward: views and learning

Horizons is forward on Deck 14, with broad sea views through its windows. Visit in daylight if you want the view, or check the evening program if music and conversation are the aim.

The Culinary Center and Artist Loft are also in the forward public cluster. Choose the actual scheduled session rather than assuming a named venue is open for drop-in instruction whenever you arrive.

LYNC Digital Center adds practical digital learning, including subjects such as travel photography. Check the session level so you can spend time on something useful rather than repeating skills you already know.

Culinary Center hands-on classes can require a booking and an additional charge. Inspect the price and timing before letting a class compete with a shore excursion you were especially looking forward to.

There is an open Sun Deck between the main forward and aft clusters. Check the weather before planning that as your preferred walk between a class and an aft meal.

Deck 14 aft: books, coffee and dinner

The Library is aft on Deck 14, beside the Bakery and Baristas area. It isn’t beside Horizons at the forward end, so account for the distance if you’re arranging to meet someone for coffee.

Baristas and the Bakery make this a useful place for a morning or afternoon break. Try the included coffee and pastries before assuming you need a separate coffee purchase to enjoy the area.

Toscana, Polo Grill and Privée are farther aft in the upper restaurant cluster. Toscana and Polo are ordinary included specialty reservations, while private wine experiences need a separate price check.

This aft area is worth locating before your first reserved dinner. Arriving early enough to find the entrance is more comfortable than walking the length of the deck while watching the clock.

Afternoon tea’s actual venue and timing should come from Currents. Don’t assume the presence of Horizons or an attractive lounge fixes where every tea service will happen.

Oceania Vista : Harbor Broadside

Decks 15 and 16: separate forward and aft recreation

The spa and fitness center are forward on Deck 15, with the Aquamar Spa Terrace at the bow. The terrace has its own access conditions, so it isn’t interchangeable with the main pool area.

Eligible Concierge and suite guests have included terrace access as a room benefit. If your room doesn’t include it, ask about the current access options and price rather than assuming a treatment includes everything for the whole voyage.

The fitness track is aft on Deck 15, with croquet, bocce and shuffleboard shown in that aft recreation area. Don’t walk toward the spa expecting to find the running circuit beside it.

The putting green and paddle-tennis court are aft on Deck 16. Choose the correct upper level and check Currents for any scheduled games or competitions before organizing your afternoon around one.

Deck 15 has separate forward and aft areas, rather than one continuous full-ship walkway. Use the nearest appropriate access point for the spa or sports end instead of planning a loop between them.

Use the map for locations and Currents for the day

A map answers where a venue sits, while Currents answers what happens there on your sailing. Keep those jobs separate when you build a day’s plan.

Use the current room descriptions for cabin features and benefits, then return to the numbered plan for the specific position. A large suite or Concierge perk can be appealing without changing the distance to your favorite restaurant.

Leave a little margin between a shore return, dinner and a show. Vista is manageable to learn, but a late tender, a slow elevator or a longer meal can still make a tightly packed evening feel rushed.

How this guide was researched

Venue names, cabin positions and forward-versus-aft routes were checked against the ship’s deck plans and facility descriptions. Daily programs and access conditions determine when each mapped destination can be used.

Deck plans, room details and onboard activities provide the ship information behind these choices.
