Carnival Pride Things to Do: Pools, Shows and Nightlife

On Carnival Pride, try Green Thunder if a drop slide appeals, give Punchliner comedy an early evening, and choose between the covered central pool and aft Serenity for daytime water time.

Add a theater show, piano or pub music because the performer interests you, then keep Sunset Garden and smaller indoor events ready when the weather changes.

Short version

Try the slides when eligible, choose Venus for a protected central pool option or Serenity for an adult pool setting, and give comedy and music an early audition. Use the current theater and Family Feud program, learn each youth-club route, and keep a movie or Sunset Garden break ready when weather changes.

Try Green Thunder early if the drop is your priority

Green Thunder is Pride’s drop-style slide in WaterWorks, high aft on Deck 11. Watch a few launches before deciding whether that kind of ride sounds fun, particularly when a child is unsure about the drop.

The current slide participation rules require at least 48 inches and a maximum of 300 pounds. Check the posted health, clothing and operating instructions before climbing for the first ride.

Give it a chance near opening on a suitable day rather than saving the only attempt for the final sea day. Wind, weather and maintenance can change the hours, so a clear afternoon is an opportunity worth using.

If the queue stops feeling worthwhile, return later or try another activity. You can enjoy the waterpark without making every ride an obligation or persuading a nervous guest to do the drop.

Choose Twister for turns instead of a sudden launch

Twister is the spiraling tube slide in the same aft WaterWorks area. It is the option to compare when someone likes water slides but the drop-style Green Thunder is less appealing.

Twister needs at least 42 inches, with the same 300-pound maximum under Pride’s current rules. The height difference can make it the available larger slide for a child who does not qualify for Green Thunder.

WaterWorks also has a tipping bucket, spray features, and smaller water play for eligible children. Children in diapers or swim diapers, and children who are not toilet trained, cannot use Carnival’s onboard water facilities, so settle that restriction before making splash time your toddler’s main plan.

Set a clear family meeting point on the pool deck rather than treating the slide staircase as your all-day base. A short waterpark visit followed by lunch or a pool break can work better than repeated queues until everyone is tired.

Learn the three pool settings

Apollo Pool is forward on Lido Deck 9, Venus is central beneath the retractable-roof area, and the Serenity pool is aft. Visit each before deciding the first pool you see has to carry the whole sea day.

Use Venus when the ship’s roof operation provides a protected option and open-deck swimming is less appealing. The cover helps with flexibility, while weather, operating conditions and demand still affect the experience.

Try Apollo when you want another family-pool setting instead of staying beside a central activity. An earlier swim or a port-day visit can be worth comparing when the main sea-day scene is busy.

After swimming, use the included nearby food counters or walk aft to the buffet according to their hours. Our Pride dining guide helps you choose lunch without paying for another seated meal automatically.

Use Serenity for an adult pool afternoon

Pride’s Serenity retreat is included for guests 21 and older, aft on Deck 9. It has its own pool and hot tub, so it is a place for adult water time as well as a lounger and wake view.

Find it on the first afternoon, then try it earlier on a warm sea day if a particular seat matters. Other adults will want the same area, so keep the seating choice flexible rather than assuming the age limit removes all demand.

Choose it for the setting and adult access, with drinks budgeted separately unless a purchased benefit covers them. You do not need a spa appointment just to have an adult afternoon outside.

When wind makes the stern uncomfortable, move to a suitable indoor lounge or the protected central pool setting. Adult-only does not make Serenity the best option in every kind of weather.

Give Punchliner an early audition

Punchliner comedy uses Butterflies Lounge forward on Deck 1, a smaller room than Taj Mahal. Try a set during the first couple of evenings, then let the actual comedian decide whether you want to return.

Arrive about 20 to 30 minutes early when sitting together matters, especially for a popular later set. A group arriving at showtime may need to separate or try the next performance.

Read the family or adult label and posted age guidance before bringing children. A later adult set can be explicit, so choose the listing that fits your group rather than assuming every show in the same room has the same content.

If the first act is not your style, compare the next performer instead of treating one set as the whole comedy program. Stand-up is a good place to leave space for a favorite you discover after boarding.

Pick a Taj Mahal show for its music

Taj Mahal is the forward main show lounge, with lower and upper public entrances on Decks 2 and 3. Use the HUB program to choose a Playlist production or guest entertainer that appeals to your group.

Arrive with time to compare sightlines instead of taking the last available seat behind a rail or support. A central position can be useful for a stage view, while an aisle may suit someone who needs an easy exit.

Do not make an old fleet roster the reason to promise a particular production to the family. Artists, titles and nights can change, and the current schedule is what you can actually attend.

Choose one main production first, then leave another evening for comedy or a smaller music set. Pride’s entertainment is easier to enjoy when every night does not require the same formal plan.

Try Family Feud together when the sailing qualifies

Family Feud Live is included on eligible Pride cruises of seven days or longer. It is unavailable on Europe, Australia and South Pacific itineraries, including departures from a US port that visit those regions.

Players need to be at least 12, while everyone can watch. A team of five signs up for an onboard audition, so check the announced process early if taking part is something your group wants.

For a multigenerational party, watching can be an easy shared event without making anyone perform. Let the enthusiastic members audition, and choose audience seats if that sounds more fun than being on stage.

Use its actual time when planning dinner or club pickup. A good family event can fit the afternoon or evening without becoming another reason to rush a meal.

Test Ivory and RedFrog before choosing a favorite

Ivory Piano Bar is on Deck 3 and suits a singalong or piano-led evening when the performer and music fit your taste. Stop early in the voyage so you can return on another night if it is enjoyable.

Choose seating near the piano when interaction appeals, or a position farther out when you would rather listen. You can stay for a few songs without committing the entire night before hearing the performer.

RedFrog Pub on Deck 2 is a different option for a casual music-and-pub setting. Check the offered act and event time, then let a short stop grow into the evening only if you like what is happening.

The venues are close enough to combine with another lower-deck plan. Our Pride deck guide helps you put music between Normandie dinner and a forward comedy set.

Choose the bar for the evening you want

Alchemy is the cocktail-focused option on Deck 2, while Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge serves the sports-bar mood. Choose Alchemy when the drink itself interests you and Heroes when watching the scheduled game is the appeal.

Tell the bartender flavors you actually enjoy rather than choosing a cocktail only for its name. Read the menu or package coverage before treating a crafted drink as an included activity.

For a major game, arrive with enough time to find a useful television sightline. If sports are not your interest, try the pianist or pub performer instead of waiting for a crowded bar to become your kind of evening.

Beauties Dance Club offers later-night dancing on Deck 2. Check the program and actual crowd after dinner, then stay if the music suits you rather than making the club responsible for your whole nightlife plan.

Keep a movie or Sunset Garden break ready

Dive-In Movies uses the Seaside Theater screen near the central Lido pool. Pick a film the group wants and bring a suitable layer when the evening could be cool.

The central roof gives Pride another operating option, but check the film, time and conditions rather than assuming the movie setting is comfortable in every weather pattern. An indoor music set can be the better choice when the deck plan changes.

Sunset Garden is the enclosed promenade beside Taj Mahal on Deck 3, with windows and seating. Try it for reading, cards or a quiet conversation when you want daylight without another pool visit or paid appointment.

Leave the break unstructured if the group needs rest more than an event. A window seat and time to talk can be a worthwhile part of the day even when the app offers several other activities.

Learn each child’s route before the first evening

Camp Ocean for ages 2 through 11 is forward on Deck 5, Circle C for ages 12 through 14 is forward on Deck 4, and Club O2 for ages 15 through 17 is forward on Deck 10. The separate levels make the exact meeting and pickup point useful to learn early.

Visit with younger children and complete registration before planning an adult evening around the club. Give a hesitant child time to try the room rather than assuming they will stay for a long session immediately.

Infant programming starts at 6 months, with limited under-2 sessions and care that can have fees. Check the offered hours and actual terms instead of transferring the included older-child schedule to a baby.

Night Owls is paid late-night care for eligible children from 6 months through age 11, offered until as late as 1 a.m. Confirm capacity, charges and pickup instructions before booking a late restaurant or show around it.

Use sports or the gym when they fit the day

Mini-golf and the court are in the forward upper Sports Deck area, separate from the aft waterpark. Try a short game or outdoor walk when conditions are pleasant and the area is operating.

If wind makes the course or court unappealing, choose an indoor game or fitness visit instead. You do not need to use the highest outdoor area simply because it was on the original plan.

The forward fitness center uses Decks 9 and 10. Check the offered classes and any charges, then use the basic equipment when that is the workout you want.

Cloud 9 Spa treatments and selected services are paid choices, with their own reservations and cancellation terms. Buy the treatment for its appeal rather than paying solely because an included pool or lounge is busy.

Keep the night flexible around one priority

Use the current Pride activities to choose the experiences you care about, then confirm times in HUB. Agree on one shared show, meal or meeting and let different ages enjoy their own choices earlier.

Our Pride planning tips guide helps with the app, included conveniences and first-day jobs. Leave a comfortable gap for the walk, club pickup and a change of clothes instead of filling every available slot.

Winner’s Club Casino is central on Deck 2 if gambling interests you, with wagers charged separately. Set a spending limit before playing and choose music, comedy or a game elsewhere when that is a better use of the hour.

How this guide was researched

Activity choices use Carnival’s ship-specific venue list, deck plan, and family and water-access policies. The onboard program supplies the performers, opening hours, and available sessions for each sailing.
