Britannia Restaurants: What’s Included and Worth Booking

On Britannia, choose your main-dining routine first, then buy one specialty meal for its food or performer rather than filling the week before trying the included choices.

Use Meridian for Freedom Dining and your assigned Peninsular or Oriental sitting for Club Dining, with Horizon and poolside food ready for a long day ashore.

Short version

The main rooms, Horizon, and poolside pizza and grill cover ordinary meals; Epicurean currently has a £42 cover and Sindhu £25, while Beach House, Glass House, Market Café, and Limelight offer different paid formats to compare with the sailing quote.

Settle Freedom or Club Dining before planning the evenings

Meridian offers Freedom Dining on Britannia, while Peninsular and Oriental offer Club Dining under the current ship-specific dining guidance. Use your booking’s assignment rather than treating all three rooms as interchangeable walk-in restaurants.

Choose Freedom when the evening needs to move with ports, shows, and your appetite. Join the available virtual queue when the group is ready so you can wait somewhere comfortable instead of gathering everyone outside the entrance.

Club Dining gives you a set sitting and a recurring table arrangement. Choose it when a regular dinner team and a reliable evening routine are more useful than deciding the hour afresh every day.

Breakfast in another restaurant is a useful daytime option, but it does not change your assigned dinner room or dining system.

Britannia - Specialty Dinner

Learn the restaurant route before the first meal

Meridian is in the aft half of Deck 5, Peninsular in the mid-aft part of Deck 6, and Oriental at the stern of Deck 6. Learn the bank serving the assigned room before the family is dressed and hungry.

For Oriental, take the aft route rather than assuming you can walk through every lower-deck restaurant or working area. The correct elevator approach can save a detour even when the room looks close on the plan.

Headliners is forward on Decks 6 and 7, so leave time between an aft dinner and a performance. A slower specialty evening deserves another plan if protecting a tight show connection would make every course feel rushed.

Our Britannia deck guide makes those routes clearer. Practice the one you’ll use instead of learning every dining entrance on embarkation day.

Give the included menu a fair first evening

The main rooms serve changing menus with British favorites and international choices, including fish, meat, vegetables, and desserts. Read the evening menu before deciding that paid dining is the only appealing meal.

Try the included room early enough to learn whether its pacing and menu suit the group. A good regular dinner can leave more of the budget for ports or the specialty cuisine someone is genuinely excited about.

If a dish isn’t right, explain the problem while the team can replace or adjust it. One disappointing plate is more useful as a request for a better option than as a verdict on every included dinner remaining.

For Club Dining, link separate bookings and submit compatible seating preferences before sailing if you want to eat together. For Freedom, be flexible about a table or time when the first popular window is busy.

Choose a seated breakfast when the morning can be slow

Britannia’s breakfast program includes main-restaurant choices and Horizon buffet, with the daily schedule identifying the offered room. Try a served morning meal when a relaxed table is part of the day you want.

Keep the buffet for an early shore meeting or a family whose breakfast preferences need different stations. The included food can be equally useful in a faster format when the itinerary is doing the work.

Check lunch and afternoon-tea periods separately from dinner. A room closed between meals hasn’t disappeared from the ship, and a restaurant’s dinner assignment doesn’t describe its whole daytime program.

Included afternoon tea can be a pleasant sea-day pause with scones, pastries, and tea when scheduled. Keep another snack light if that is the afternoon treat you intend to enjoy.

Britannia - Lounge Evening

Horizon is the flexible meal near the upper pools

Horizon occupies the aft Lido area on Deck 16 and supplies included buffet meals during its offered windows. Use it after a long port day or when the group wants different dishes without a long paced dinner.

Walk the active stations before choosing the first tray. A full lap can reveal the salad, hot dish, dessert, or seating area that fits everyone better than the busiest entrance.

At breakfast, let each person choose a station and agree on one specific table area. That makes the buffet easier than sending the whole group through every queue together.

The Beach House uses part of the same upper complex in the evening, but its own menu and charge make it a separate purchase. An attractive table inside a familiar buffet setting doesn’t make that specialty dinner included.

Poolside pizza and grill keep a family lunch simple

The Poolside Pizzeria & Grill on Deck 16 supplies included casual food near Lido’s outdoor routine. Choose it when everyone wants lunch between a swim and another activity rather than another restaurant appointment.

Stone-baked pizza is the easy shared-food direction, with grill choices providing a different option. Look at what is actually being served and the posted hours before promising a particular topping or late lunch.

Use it for a quick meal, then try a main-room lunch or different buffet selection on another day. Repeating a favorite is fine, while one easy counter doesn’t have to become the whole week’s food plan.

Keep this included counter in mind for the gap between a late shore return and dinner, so hunger does not decide the specialty-dining budget for you.

Epicurean is the occasion dinner

Epicurean is forward on Deck 16, near Crow’s Nest and the single-cabin section. Choose it when modern British dining and a deliberately slower specialty evening are the occasion you want.

P&O’s menu update gives a £42-per-person cover. Its sample new dishes include a Bloody Mary and goat-cheese “Tomatoes” starter, wagyu beef, and Iberico pork, with vegan options also part of the refreshed direction.

Use those examples to judge the cooking style, then read the menu attached to your reservation. A memorable starter and main are a stronger reason to pay than simply wanting to avoid the included dining room.

Budget for drinks and any menu additions alongside the cover, then leave the evening free to enjoy the meal at its own pace.

For eligible full-Suite guests, Epicurean breakfast is a separate included room benefit. Superior Deluxe isn’t a full Suite, and complimentary breakfast doesn’t turn the restaurant’s specialty dinner into a free meal.

Britannia - Casual Meal

Sindhu is the Indian-food evening

Sindhu sits toward the aft part of Deck 7 and offers contemporary Indian dining. Choose it when the group wants that cuisine rather than another steak-led celebration meal.

The current dinner cover is £25 per person. Check the reservation menu and any supplements before finalizing the evening.

The advertised direction includes a signature thali, mushroom biryani, traditional curries, and a Chef’s Showcase drawn from onboard chefs. A thali can appeal when you want several flavors, while the vegan biryani provides another useful comparison.

Read ingredients and heat preferences together when choosing for mixed appetites. Someone who wants a simple familiar plate may prefer the included restaurant, while an Indian-food enthusiast has a clear reason to spend here.

Glass House works for a smaller meal and wine

The Glass House occupies the Deck 7 atrium area and combines tapas-style food with a wine program. Try it when a few plates and a chosen glass sound better than another full multicourse dinner.

Compare the food order and drinks separately. A beverage package or wine benefit doesn’t establish that the accompanying food is free.

Its flexible format can be useful after a substantial lunch, a cooking class, or a long day ashore. Look at the current service and table arrangement instead of protecting an unnecessary reservation just because it is a paid venue.

Keep it as an option for the evening you don’t yet know how hungry you’ll be. A smaller purchase can deliver the variety you wanted without filling every meal with another set dinner.

Beach House is the relaxed paid dinner upstairs

The Beach House operates in part of the Deck 16 Horizon complex with a Latin American, Caribbean, and Stateside-inspired menu. Choose it when an informal specialty meal near the upper outdoor areas appeals.

Read the current cover, offered evenings, and premium additions in your sailing’s menu. A cover and a supplemented dish can make the final bill different from an old fixed-price example.

Its shared footprint is useful for finding the room but doesn’t define inclusion. Horizon’s ordinary buffet remains the included alternative when a paid dinner isn’t the plan.

On a warm evening, pair the meal with an available Sunset Bar or open-deck visit. Keep that flexible when the weather makes the indoor route more comfortable.

Britannia - Lobby Moment

Market Café is an optional atrium treat

Market Café is on Deck 5, with sweet and savory purchases in the atrium. Its refresh introduced a new look and menu rather than a complimentary replacement for Horizon’s pastries.

Choose a particular cake, pastry, gelato, or café meal you want and compare the displayed price. A coffee package’s coverage needs its own check alongside the food purchase.

Use the seating when the atrium’s mood suits you. A scenic lounge or quieter table elsewhere can be a better break when a performance or service queue makes this central area busy.

Keep a branded treat separate from the necessary meal budget. One enjoyable purchase can be enough without making every snack a paid café visit.

Limelight is a performer-first reservation

The Limelight Club on Deck 5 combines dinner and entertainment in a smaller room. Choose it for an announced performer you want to see, then confirm the menu, session, eligibility, and final price.

Reserve early when that act is a real priority, because another dining room can replace dinner more easily than it can replace a particular performance. Leave it optional when you mainly wanted a pleasant meal and haven’t chosen the entertainer.

Allow the evening enough time to belong to the dinner-show format. Don’t stack it against a must-see Headliners performance or a shore return that leaves little margin.

Our Britannia activities help compare it with included theater and lounge choices. You can build a lively evening without buying every special event.

Room service and family food need their own arrangements

Continental room-service breakfast is included, while most other ordinary room-service items carry charges. Britannia doesn’t inherit the separate delivery charge specifically named for Arvia and Iona in the current policy.

For a full Suite, confirm the complimentary room-service and main-menu-in-cabin entitlement attached to your booking. Food benefits don’t automatically include every drink order.

Children’s Tea in the buffet gives families an included early meal opportunity when scheduled. For an important dietary need, record it before travel and discuss the preparation with the team rather than relying only on a dish label.

Use the room-service guidance with the cabin menu. The useful choice is convenience at an understood price, not an assumed all-inclusive delivery service.

Britannia - Dockside Arrival

Buy the meals you want before evaluating a package

Count the specialty dinners and drinks you realistically want, then compare any eligible package credit with those purchases. A small dining allowance shouldn’t decide a much larger bundle you won’t otherwise use.

Keep a long shore day paired with a flexible included meal, and leave another evening open for the menu or performer you discover after boarding. Our Britannia tips help fit the food around the itinerary instead of making every dinner another appointment.

How this guide was researched

Venue locations, dining allocation, published Epicurean and Sindhu covers, room service and family meals follow P&O’s ship and policy pages. Menus rotate, and the reservation total governs extras and special events.
