Marella Voyager Activities: Shows, Music and Family Time

Make time for a Broadway show, an evening in Squid & Anchor, and a quieter afternoon in The Arts House on Marella Voyager.

Then add The Exchange’s paid immersive event or a spa appointment if it’s something you’re excited about, leaving the pool, movies, and casual activities flexible.

Short version

Give priority to Broadway, the pub entertainment in Squid & Anchor, and The Arts House or cinema for quieter time. Book The Exchange only for its specific paid immersive event; keep pool time and sports flexible, and register children early for their actual age sessions.

Three evenings with different reasons to go

Choose Broadway for the production and a seated performance, Squid & Anchor for quizzes, bands and joining in, or The Arts House for a smaller music setting. Try each early enough that you can return to the one everyone enjoys rather than treating the whole roster as a nightly obligation.

The Exchange’s immersive event is the paid option to reserve when actors and participation are the attraction. For an ordinary cocktail and conversation, check its regular bar opening separately or use another included lounge instead of buying an event ticket to solve a seating problem.

Marella Voyager : Open Deck

Broadway Show Lounge

Broadway Show Lounge is the primary production theater and one of the ship’s clearest strengths. It uses two levels, with access on Decks 6 and 7, which helps spread arrivals.

Shows combine singing, dancing, and guest entertainment. The advertised roster includes 12 productions, with actual titles and guest acts selected for your sailing.

Choose the performances you most want from the daily program instead of trying to plan around every show in the wider roster.

Most evenings offer two performances so guests can arrange dinner around the show. Check the daily schedule because a port departure, special event, or technical need can alter timing.

Seats are generally included and not reserved. Arrive earlier for a central sight line, but do not hold a large row for absent companions.

Squid & Anchor

Squid & Anchor sits aft on Deck 7 and functions as the lively pub-style entertainment room. It hosts quizzes, interactive game shows, live singers, bands, and dancing.

The mood is more participatory than Broadway, making it a better choice for travelers who want to join rather than sit through a formal production.

Popular events can fill the room and create standing-room conditions. Check the schedule and arrive ahead of major game shows.

Standard selected drinks are covered by the All Inclusive fare, while premium brands and excluded menu items cost extra. If you’re booking an aft Deck 8 cabin, compare its location with the pub below before choosing.

For a simpler sleep-focused choice, compare a central Deck 9 room with accommodation above and below.

The Exchange

The Exchange is deliberately hidden and adult-only. Outside its special events, it works as an intimate cocktail and live-music bar at selected times.

The immersive experience uses a 1920s-inspired setting and limited attendance. Exact story, price, drinks, and schedule can change, so preserve the surprise and rely on the current booking screen.

The event is prebookable and chargeable. Travelers who care about it should reserve before the cruise when possible.

Do not assume access to the regular bar guarantees a place in the immersive show, and do not assume every cocktail is covered by the standard drinks package.

The Arts House

Unique to Marella Voyager, The Arts House on Deck 6 changes character through the day. Shuffleboard, arts and crafts, puzzles, and relaxed seating support quieter daytime use.

In the evening, the bar hosts live singers and musicians. It is a useful alternative when the pool deck feels crowded or when Broadway is not appealing.

Some craft sessions can have limited materials or assigned times. Consult the daily schedule rather than expecting a continuous staffed workshop.

The adjacent Coffee Port provides specialty drinks and treats, with package coverage varying by item.

Marella Voyager : Broadway Show Lounge

Indoor cinema and Movies by Moonlight

The indoor cinema on Deck 6 screens classic films and recent box-office titles during the day and evening. It is one of the best rainy-day spaces and a calm option for guests who do not want a hosted activity.

Seating is limited, so an advertised popular film can fill.

Movies by Moonlight uses the outdoor screen near the Deck 11 pool. Weather, wind, light, and pool-deck events affect showings.

Check the outdoor film time and weather before settling in, and bring a light layer for the breeze. The included indoor cinema is a useful alternative when an outdoor screening is less comfortable.

Flutes, Aperitif, and live-music bars

Flutes sits in the Deck 5 dining and atrium area and extends across two levels. A pianist and the Champagne-bar mood make it a natural pre-dinner stop.

Champagne is specifically chargeable and is not included in either All Inclusive or Premium All Inclusive. Prosecco and other selections depend on the current menu and package.

Aperitif on Deck 7 sits near specialty restaurants and emphasizes pre-dinner drinks, including specialist gin and whiskey menus. The Summer House on Deck 11 combines indoor and outdoor seating under a retractable roof with live singers and musicians in the evening.

The atmosphere shifts with weather and sailing time.

The Electric Rooms and casino

Deck 12 becomes livelier after dark. The Electric Rooms combines bar service, dancing, silent discos, and a small casino with blackjack, roulette, and slot machines.

Entry to ordinary club nights is part of the onboard entertainment program, but casino wagering and excluded drinks are extra.

The Electric Rooms is forward on Deck 12, while that deck’s cabin section is aft. Choose a lower residential location if high-deck motion or nearby outdoor activity is a bigger concern than easy access to dancing.

Alcohol and casino play follow age, itinerary, and jurisdiction rules, while children’s access to bar areas depends on the published cutoff.

Marella Voyager : Public Lounge

Pool deck and whirlpools

Deck 11 holds the main pool and a pair of whirlpools, with Pool Bar and Snack Shack nearby. Daytime entertainment can include music, hosted games, and Movies by Moonlight after sunset.

The pool is modest for nearly 2,000 lower-berth guests, so sunny sea days can feel busy.

Use the pool early, during popular port hours, or late in the afternoon for a calmer experience. Do not reserve loungers for long periods.

Weather, maintenance, and crowd control can close water facilities. Children can use the main pool subject to posted rules, and a smaller children’s water area is associated with Deck 9.

Mini golf, sports, jogging, and fitness

Free mini golf and a sports court sit high on Deck 12, along with a jogging route around the upper area. The course is casual rather than elaborate, but it provides an easy family or sea-day activity.

Wind can change play, and deck chairs can narrow the jogging path.

The fitness area is also on Deck 12. Core gym access is normally included, while classes or specialist services can carry fees.

Use equipment cautiously when the ship moves. The outdoor route is exposed, so walk inside when heat, wind, rain, or deck congestion makes it uncomfortable.

M Club, Hideout, and Gamer Zone

The aft Deck 9 family zone handles the younger children’s sessions, while Mini M Club provides parent-accompanied time for under-threes. Current age groups are 3-7 and 8-11, with Hideout serving ages 12-17 on Deck 12.

Gamer Zone on Deck 6 adds another console space, giving older children another indoor option when a film or sports game doesn’t appeal.

Register early and confirm the current age grouping, session blocks, capacity, collection rules, and whether a child may leave independently. The free club program is not continuous childcare, and under-threes must remain with an adult in Mini M Club.

Spa, beauty salon, and upper relaxation

Try the included gym or ordinary Veranda loungers before deciding whether you want a paid wellness treat. Oceans Spa appointments, salon services, any charged spa access, and private cabanas need their own price check.

Book early for sea-day appointments and ask about daily specials only after checking the full treatment length and price in GBP. The adult-only Veranda high forward provides complimentary loungers, while private cabanas are chargeable.

Parts of the upper area require stairs.

Marella Voyager : The Kitchens

Food as entertainment

Marella Voyager lists 18 dining experiences, and trying them is a major part of the evening. Included options include Latitude 53, Vista, Piccadilly’s, The Kitchens, Nonna’s, Abuela’s, and Snack Shack.

Treat Yourself menu additions and specialty venues such as Surf & Turf, Silver Fork, Umi Sushi, or Kora La carry charges as listed.

Reserve chargeable restaurants that matter, especially on a seven-night sailing. The Summer House links food, drinks, and live music, while The Kitchens makes breakfast and casual meals flexible.

Dining inclusions are broad but not universal.

A practical sea-day plan

Start with breakfast at The Kitchens or Latitude 53, then use mini golf or the sports court before the upper decks heat up. Check M Club registration if traveling with children.

Move indoors to The Arts House, Gamer Zone, or cinema around midday, and use the pool later when early sun seekers depart.

Reserve spa time or a specialty dinner in advance. Begin the evening at Flutes, Aperitif, or The Summer House, choose one Broadway showing, then move to Squid & Anchor.

Finish at The Electric Rooms if dancing is your priority, or check the regular Exchange bar opening if you’d prefer a cocktail. A paid immersive ticket is a separate booking from an ordinary bar visit.

Choose a different kind of evening

For a sociable night, make Squid & Anchor the main event and choose dinner around the quiz or band you want. Arrive together a little early rather than relying on one person to hold a large block of seats.

For a quieter night, try The Arts House’s music or a film in the indoor cinema. You can still have a satisfying evening without adding a paid experience or moving between every bar.

For a celebration, choose the dinner first and leave a comfortable gap before Broadway. A tasting menu deserves time, so pair it with a later showing instead of expecting the restaurant to fit a tight theater deadline.

For late dancing, choose a morning afterward that doesn’t start with your earliest shore meeting. The Electric Rooms is more enjoyable when you aren’t already worrying about getting up in a few hours.

Make a family afternoon easy

Start with the club session times for each child, then choose one shared activity around them. Mini golf, a movie, or a quick Snack Shack lunch gives everyone a meeting point without filling the whole afternoon.

If children in your group use different age sessions, agree on collection and dinner plans before separating. The younger family zone is aft on Deck 9, while Hideout is on Deck 12, so the walk is part of the plan.

Keep the cinema or Gamer Zone in reserve if wind makes the sports court less appealing. Check the posted rules and availability, because a space on the deck plan doesn’t mean every activity is supervised all day.

Spend on the experience you want most

The Exchange’s immersive night is worth prioritizing if you enjoy actors, interaction, and the speakeasy idea. If you mainly want a private conversation over drinks, choose an ordinary bar and save the ticket money for another treat.

For a spa visit, ask about the exact treatment duration and GBP total before booking. For a cabana, compare the reserved space with the included Veranda loungers and think about how much time you’ll actually spend there.

Leave one sea-day afternoon open after trying the ship’s spaces. Returning to your favorite room is often more enjoyable than another reservation chosen merely to fill the schedule.

To leave room for dinner and the activities you most want, use dining guide, Voyager tips, and best cabins to choose meal times, reserve priority experiences, and avoid a room beside activity you would rather sleep through.

For actual venues and participation rules, consult Voyager entertainment, Voyager facilities, and family activity groups.
