Majestic Princess Deck-by-Deck Guide: A Practical Navigation Guide

Majestic Princess’s easiest daily routes use the Piazza and restaurants on Decks 5 through 7, cabin decks in the middle, and two different pool settings near the top.

Start a general balcony search on Caribe or Baja, then move for a specific view, room layout or shorter trip to the places you will use most.

Short version

Learn the three elevator areas: forward for theater, spa and covered pool; central for the Piazza and nearby dining; aft for Allegro, Vista Lounge and the buffet. Compare Caribe or Baja for cabins above and below, and inspect Emerald obstruction and Marina’s individual overhead spaces.

Deck 4: Medical Center and water-shuttle operations

Gala Deck 4 is a compact service level rather than a through-route across the ship. The Medical Center is here, and a lift lobby may be used for water-shuttle or gangway operations when announced in port.

Follow the day’s port instructions instead of treating Deck 4 as a standing shortcut. The operational route can change with the berth and conditions.

Deck 5: spa forward, café and dining central

Plaza Deck 5 combines a forward spa area with food, bars and services around the Piazza. Lotus Spa and The Enclave sit forward, while International Café, Good Spirits, O’Malley’s Irish Pub, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, Guest Services, shops, and Symphony Dining Room fill the central public band.

Sabatini’s replaced the old Harmony Chinese Restaurant, and O’Malley’s replaced Vines. Use the current names when choosing where to meet or making a restaurant reservation.

Learn International Café first for small meals and snacks near the Piazza. Try O’Malley’s nearby when a pub setting and the offered live music suit the evening.

The Enclave makes the forward elevator bank worth learning if you buy thermal-suite access. Compare a cabin near the forward elevators if you expect to use the spa on most sea days.

Deck 6: theater, pizza and the aft dinner route

Fiesta Deck 6 carries the lower Princess Theater, Grand Casino, Bellini’s, Alfredo’s Pizzeria, Concerto Dining Room, Allegro Dining Room aft, Chef’s Table Lumiere, arcade space, and the middle level of the Piazza. This is one of the strongest evening decks because dinner, drinks, gambling, and a show can all happen without repeatedly changing floors.

Bellini’s is part of the refresh and gives the Piazza another easy visual landmark. Use paid sit-down Alfredo’s for a made-to-order pizza meal; included Alfredo’s Slice is a different counter up on Deck 16.

Allegro Dining Room is isolated at the far aft end of Deck 6 by the dining-room and galley footprint. Walk aft on Deck 7 first, then use the stern lifts or stairs down to Allegro instead of trying to cross from Concerto on Deck 6.

Princess Theater releases can temporarily jam the forward elevators. If stairs suit your mobility, move to another level before riding when the theater-exit lobby is busy.

Princess Theater on Majestic Princess

Deck 7: restaurants and entertainment from bow to stern

Promenade Deck 7 carries the upper Princess Theater, Ocean Terrace Sushi, The Catch by Rudi, Crown Grill & Bar, Princess Live, shops, Princess Live Café, and Vista Lounge aft. Walk it once to learn the elevator area that serves each restaurant and lounge.

Ocean Terrace Sushi is another recent addition and gives the Piazza-facing part of Deck 7 a stronger dining identity. The Catch and Crown Grill pull specialty-dining traffic farther along the deck, while Vista Lounge creates a separate entertainment destination at the stern.

For a first-night dinner, check which elevator bank matches the venue before leaving the cabin. Allow a comfortable gap when combining a forward theater show with an aft lounge event.

This deck also matters for Emerald Deck 8 above. Check the exact room below your candidate: a restaurant, theater and music lounge have different activity patterns.

Deck 8: obstructed balcony does not automatically mean bad balcony

Compare Emerald Deck 8 when an obstructed balcony fare offers a useful saving. The exact lifeboat or structural sightline matters more than the broad designation.

If you want daylight and fresh air more than a clear seated outlook, the saving may suit you. If the view is the reason for your balcony booking, compare a clear-view room before accepting an obstruction.

Midship angled balconies can gain useful outdoor space where the hull widens, which makes the category even more interesting. Choose extra balcony room over a clear view only when that trade suits the way you will use it.

The venue below still matters. Forward rooms above Princess Theater and aft rooms above Vista Lounge deserve more caution than cabins over quieter restaurant or circulation areas.

Check numbered examples E425 and E429 carefully: both are BW obstructed balconies on the current plan. An angled shape does not erase that designation.

Decks 9 through 12: start here for cabins above and below

Dolphin 9, Caribe 10, Baja 11 and Aloha 12 are useful starting points because most surrounding rooms are cabins. You are sleeping between the public worlds instead of directly underneath one or above another.

Start with Deck 10 when you want a balanced walk to the lower restaurants and upper food areas. Deck 11 is almost identical in practical terms and trims one floor from the trip to Lido.

Deck 9 leans slightly better for adults who care about Sabatini’s, O’Malley’s, Crown Grill, and theater. Deck 12 leans better for pool-focused families who spend more time upstairs.

A lower, central position is a sensible motion-sensitive choice; also compare its walk to the elevator bank you need. For someone who returns to the room often, that daily walk deserves as much attention as the broad deck choice.

Use our Majestic cabin choices for more specific room comparisons.

Deck 14: upper cabins and the Concierge Lounge

Majestic skips Deck 13, so Riviera Deck 14 sits above Aloha and below Marina while staying mostly residential. It is the best compromise for cruisers who want the upper decks closer without putting Lido directly over the cabin.

The Concierge Lounge and meeting space create small exceptions, but most of the deck keeps the cabin-above-and-below advantage. For many rooms, Marina accommodation separates this deck from Lido’s public activity.

Compare Riviera when shorter upper-deck access matters most. Compare Caribe when a lower room and the restaurant route matter more.

Deck 15: check the exact space overhead

Marina Deck 15 sits directly below Lido, which makes the exact cabin location crucial. The deck above contains Fountain Pool, SeaWalk, World Fresh Marketplace, The Bistro, The Bakery, quick-service food, Wake View Bar, outdoor seating, and busy circulation.

Midship cabins beneath hard outdoor deck and pool furniture deserve the most caution for late sleepers. Chairs, tables, carts, and cleaning activity can transmit through the ceiling in ways normal conversation does not.

Mid-aft cabins beneath World Fresh Marketplace offer a short breakfast trip with a food-service area overhead. If you are up early anyway, that short breakfast trip may be worth the overhead trade.

Forward Marina changes because part of Lido above contains cabins. M110 is an example to compare for that overhead relationship while weighing its higher forward position.

Choose Marina for a particular room feature or daily convenience you will use. Compare an equivalent room with cabins overhead if sleep matters more than saving a short trip.

Deck 16: forward cabins, central pool and aft buffet

Lido Deck 16 mixes a forward residential block with Alfredo’s Slice, Salty Dog Cafe, Fountain Pool, Fountain Pool Bar, SeaView Bar, SeaWalk, Swirls, World Fresh Marketplace, The Bistro, The Bakery, and Wake View Bar aft. Learn the current counter names before deciding where to eat.

Alfredo’s Slice and Salty Dog Café replaced older quick-service concepts and make the main pool area feel much more like the rest of the Princess fleet now. World Fresh Marketplace still dominates breakfast and lunch traffic farther aft.

The forward Lido cabins are more attractive than the phrase “cabin on the pool deck” suggests because the residential corridor sits ahead of most public traffic. Compare the position of the room door and corridor access when deciding whether the short pool trip suits you.

Consider it when you want quick outdoor access on a scenery-focused cruise. You can return to the room between outdoor visits without an elevator ride.

The tradeoff is high-forward motion and more balcony shade under the upper-deck structure. Choose Lido when that access outweighs the higher forward position for your group.

Main pool deck on Majestic Princess

Deck 17: covered pool forward, fitness and youth clubs aft

Sun Deck 17 is Majestic’s signature deck because Hollywood Pool Club sits beneath the glass structure beside the Hollywood Conservatory. The sheltered layout makes cold or rainy weather less disruptive, but check current age rules and hours in the Princess app rather than treating the space as permanently adults-only.

Hollywood Conservatory extends the sheltered idea forward with panoramic windows and lounge seating. It is a useful indoor-facing alternative when the main open pool deck is windy or wet, without promising a particular crowd level.

Compare Deck 12 or 14 near the forward elevators if you plan to use the covered pool regularly. You can shorten the ride to the covered pool without putting Lido public space directly above your room.

The fitness center, kids clubs, teen lounge, table tennis, and outdoor family space occupy other parts of Deck 17. Adults and families can therefore use the same level heavily without competing for the exact same room.

Decks 18 and 19: sports, movies and mini-golf

Sports Deck 18 has the court and outdoor track, with the Movies Under the Stars screen over the Lido pool area. Sky Deck 19 is the small aft The Greens Mini Golf level, and Princess’s ship-specific accessible-route guide says no wheelchair-accessible route is available there.

Plan a visit when the weather makes outdoor activity enjoyable. Expect wind to affect the open upper areas, and check whether the outdoor activity is operating before making the trip.

Families with active kids may prefer Deck 12 or 14 to keep the route shorter. Keep cabins above and below higher on the priority list than shaving a few floors from a mini-golf visit.

Learn three useful routes before the first evening

For the theater, use the forward bank to Deck 6 or 7; for the covered pool, take the forward bank to Deck 17. For Allegro, use the aft bank to Deck 6 rather than trying to cross the central galley area.

For a pool lunch, go to Deck 16 and choose the central Slice or Salty Dog counters, or walk aft to World Fresh Marketplace. Our Majestic dining guide explains which of those choices is included.

Check Majestic cabin cautions before choosing a room above entertainment or beneath the Lido public areas. Use the official deck plans alongside the current Majestic ship page when comparing your route.

Read the onboard guidance for access and participation rules that affect your group. Posted hours and the day’s program control when a venue is available, while the map helps you get there comfortably.
